HIPAA Omnibus Final Rule 2013 Webinar Series

In case you missed it…Drinker Biddle’s Health Care industry panel presented a three part series on the implications of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Omnibus Final Rule, having taken effect on March 26, 2013, with compliance required by September 23, 2013.

Part I: Business Associate Agreements
This webinar will provide an overview of the significant changes to the HIPAA Privacy Rule. The panel will review the expanded definition and responsibilities of business associates as well as the impact of those changes on covered entities. Strategies to achieve compliance and limit liability using business associate agreements will be discussed with an interactive Q&A session to follow.

 This webinar will provide an encompassing examination of recent changes to the HITECH Act’s Breach Notification Rule.
