Pernix Therapeutics acquires Somaxon Pharmaceuticals

Pernix Therapeutics, Inc. and Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. have entered into a definitive merger agreement for Pernix to acquire Somaxon in a stock-for-stock transaction.  The total equity value of the deal is $25 million.
